Drama was my introduction to owning the breed, and I really wasn't prepared for how much I would fall in love with her. She's quick-witted, intelligent, gentle, and extremely trainable, albeit a bit handler soft. If she understands what's being asked, she'll figure out how to do it with maximum efficiency. She's also a clown - she likes blowing bubbles in waterbowls, or trying to sit all the way into it even if she can't fit.

This is the dog that is the quintessential farm dog. Pest control, boundary control, or just a farming companion, she's right there with me every time. She hunts rabbit and prairie dogs as part of a unit, and often takes the lead. Drama air and ground scents, and has no issue trying to go to ground into burrows. At the end of the day, we come home to our house cats and pet rodents, and she takes a nap on the bed with the kittens. She's been around livestock from goats and chickens to horses and cattle, and never spooked nor tried to run the animals. Her neutrality extends to other dogs, as well - she never resource guards, or challenges or annoys other dogs. She fits in with every pack I've thrown her into, familiar or stranger.

Drama is out of a wild-caught dam and a well-bred sire, and was bred by Northstar kennels. They are no longer involved in the breed.

Drama's full name is "Andromeda", so named for the galaxy and the Greek myth.
