Kobalt is a wild-caught Carolina Dog from North Texas, circa 2015. He very quickly earned his UKC Grand Championship, and secured himself as the 2017 #1 Carolina Dog in UKC. He's very human social, and enjoys working for me. He became a part of our family in 2020, and has fit like a glove in our dynamic since day one. At six years old, he's working on earning his Rally titles, among other things. Like his son, his focus is on getting as absolutely close to us as he can, but like his daughter, he will do anything I ask as long as he understands.
This is an easy-going, mellow dog. He does have a predisposition to separation anxiety, but through management and training, he's begun to understand I am safe, I am home. Neither of the offspring I own of his exhibit this type of anxiety. Ko is much more laid back than his daughter, but is always up for an adventure. The week he came into our family, he hiked San Dia mountain in Albuquerque, NM, and never once questioned the moves we made or what we asked of him. This dog is comfortable in every situation I could possibly throw him into, and is a fantastic ambassador for his breed. As long as there are belly rubs and ear scritches, he's game for anything.
Normally, I would have a pedigree embedded this far down on the page, but as he is a wild-caught dog, he doesn't have a pedigree to embed.
